Introduction

For my first post, I would like to start off by defining what I mean by the mythosphere, as this will encompass all proceeding posts.

In the work The Primal Force in Symbol: Understanding the Language of Higher Consciousness author René Alleau defines the concept of the logosphere in the following way:

The logosphere, for humans, has become a new living means that transcends duration and nature and their ephemeral limits. By naming beings and things, humans are born into another life, that of their meaning, their symbolic function. For this reason, the symbolizing animal that we humans are is nourished by the products of this new, living medium, the logosphere, just as the animal is nourished by the products of the biosphere. Therefore, begotten of the logosphere, the mythosphere might be simply understood as the stories that we live by. And it is through the mythosphere that we are born into another life as wellour mythic life. And our mythic life is the inner life by which our souls find spiritual nourishment, purpose, and meaning, all in storytelling.

Reader, this is your story, your personal mythology; so, what myth are you living by, or what myths are living you?

Welcome to The Mythosphere!
